Some people hurt themselves to express inner pain. Some people hurt themselves to unknowingly trigger body chemistry that dulls physical or emotional pain. Either way, self injury is an effort to address or acknowledge some form of pain. To resolve the pain expressed by self injury, we need to consult experts (wise family or friends, psychologists, medical doctors, or simply peers). Very Best Wishes, Arthur
