Dear John, Welcome to ASAP!! I can understand how nervous you must have been posting for the first time, I think most of us felt that way too. I am sure you will find ASAP to be full of warm, compassionate and knowledgeable people. I am sorry that you are housebound at this time, it is a very scary feeling. It does get better. Are you currently receiving any treatment for your anxiety disorder? Take care

Hi John! The welcome wagon is here to meet you. Soon you will be swamped with many wonderful friends that know EXACTLY what you are going through. I was extremely nervous the first time I posted on a forum. I thought I would be picked on or laughed at. Little did I know I would become such a pain in everyone’s butt here!! LOL I was housebound for sometime. I was afraid to leave the house. So I just lived my life in, adjusting my ways and becoming quite comfortable with staying in. It took MY OWN TIME and MY OWN WAY to get out again, just like it will happen to you. No one can tell you when or how or what to do. You will find the time and then you will begin to leave, taking small adventures out. When you are comfortable, you will do a little more. No need to hurry. I heard the weather in the UK isn’t that great this time of year. I would cuddle up under a blanket and sip on some tea and keep posting to this group. Hi John!! :) Welcome to the ASAP newsgroup!! Please try not to be nervous. This is the most relaxed (well, relaxed is a relative term here. LOL), friendly, helpful, loving, caring, fun, charismatic and gentle group of people on the net! (just my humble, understated opinion! heehee) We are QUITE glad you are here. Feel free to share fears or fun, nerves or niceties, or joys and jolts. We air it all out here…..well mostly all of it. There are a few social no no’s that we still adhere to.
