New Washing Machine Beats Up Clothing

Question:

I have also owned nothing but Kenmore/Whirlpool for the last 30 years.  I bought a new middle of the line Whirlpool from Sears this year  and have never been so disappointed.  I sold it after 9 months of aggrevation for 1/3 of what I paid for it, bought a GE Profile  and it has been a storybook ending since. GE Profile Rules!

Response:

What went wrong with your Kenmore?  Performance wise, I would say it was sturdy and reliable.  I guess when I refer to beating up clothing, it’s not as if everything is tattered. Instead, the clothing is stretched out, faded etc.  Thanks for the information on the GE Profile.  I’m now not too happy with the clothing dryer either, (Whirlpool Elite). The sensor doesn’t work and the clothing drying time is long and inconsistent. (one sock is dry, the other is wet) etc.  Anyhow, thanks for your post. -Wendy – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I have also owned nothing but Kenmore/Whirlpool for the last 30 years.  I bought a new middle of the line Whirlpool from Sears this year  and have never been so disappointed.  I sold it after 9 months of aggrevation for 1/3 of what I paid for it, bought a GE Profile  and it has been a storybook ending since. That makes a BIG difference! Clothing tearing on that design of washer could be caused by using too little water for the load size, too much water, stuffing it too full or rough edges on the agitator, tub or tub cover. Dan O. – Appliance411.com http://ng.Appliance411.com/?ref411=clothes+washer =
