Chris, Doing so would be convenient for yourself and anybody else who shares your opinion. However… things happen "off" the group that are so far beyond what’s reasonable that it makes it a non-starter. Scott privately threatening to destroy Lars’ e-mail account by mail-bombing him is just the tip of the iceberg, trust me. OK? I don’t know who Lomas Tuby is but I’m certain that LT’s issues are with Tom and Scott and not "everyone else", as you said. LT is *not* going to do as you wish, whether you ask politely or otherwise, so I suggest that you accept that fact for your own sake. No offence intended to you at all. However, there’s a picture that’s actually bigger than the "big picture" that you mentioned but you’re simply unaware of it. Stick around and perhaps you’ll understand at some later date (I hope). For whatever it’s worth, I don’t agree with Lars’ portrayal of you as being "one of the victimisers", nor do I place Joe in that category. Nor do I think that either of you really deserves to be in anybody’s killfile (unless it’s part of a truce process while feelings cool off). However, I do understand *why* Lars feels this way and I’m hoping that you/Lars and Joe/Lars can come to some kind of permanent truce between yourselves. I’m not going to attempt to persuade any of the three of you to make a truce and I have no intention of intervening in any other way. I’m just hoping that you can sort it out amicably. I don’t expect that any of you will ever hug and kiss (!) but there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to peacefully exist in the newsgroup. You came on here in an attempt to dish out some "payback" for all of the negative, abusive things TL has said over the last year, but in doing so you have totally disrputed the group. Christ, there were 238 new posts yesterday, and about 180 of them were part of this whole stupid mess that you, whether you admit it or not, are partly to blame for. Geez. I think for the sake of everyone, people should just be adults and act on these problems between them PERSONALLY, if they must. The same people just keep firing on the same other people, and vice versa, and people get hurt on BOTH sides. I don’t think anyone is ready to concede victory or defeat to any "side"–this is very obvious here–so would it be too much to ask to keep it out of this NG? Especially since we have some readers (again, on both "sides") whose compulsions to read posts don’t allow them to just step away from the arguing (I think I would even include myself in that category, though I’m certainly not into flaming). And furthermore, if anyone outside the "groups" steps in, there seems to be a battle to figure out which side will recruit them. Now, I’m fairly new here (about six months) and I have been helped out by members of both groups. I don’t consider myself on either "side", since I do read posts by everyone, and both sides have valid arguments. But there is such a thing as taking it too far. If everyone would just shut up and listen to what everyone has to say about OCD and not about their personal vendettas, this would be a much happier place to be. Go ahead and do flaming, if it makes you feel better, but keep it between two parties and don’t involve everyone on here. I, for one, am sick of seeing the same people bashing and/or being bashed day to day, and I don’t want to be labeled as on one side or another, as I’m sure others who either post infrequently or lurk will agree with. I’m just tired of EVERYONE acting like a bunch of adolescent kids. It’s like watching junior high all over again. *sigh* And, as in junior high, people get hurt from it.
