I need advice.
Question:
I’ve been diagnosed as having major depression and ocd, but not schizophrenia. I take resperidal, and my former psychiatrist has said I have psychotic tendencys. I’m eccentric, have beliefs in witchcraft and shamanism, frequently avoid people as a matter of fact I don’t have any friends now and don’t know if I want to, I’m extremely lazy,have poor attention span, and when I go to public places I get extremely anxious and think people are talking and laughing about me no I "know" they are, and I see myself as being very intuitive like I know what people are thinking about me. Could these be early signs of schizophrenia? Ryan D.

I am not a psychiatrist but I read the text of psychiatry. the symptoms are 1. you are odd or eccentric 2. you have strange beliefs. 3. you don’t have any close friend. 4. you get extremely anxious in public places 5. you have mild paranoid ideation these are listed symptoms in the text.

Schizophrenia is often very difficult to diagnose if there are very mild symptoms. Drs. Hoffer and Osmond developed a effective test to determine if a person is schizophrenic. I have a four month old baby, Birth Mom schizophrenic Dad paranoid schizophrenic the last few days she has quit smiling, stares and you would think she was depressed can a baby show signs of depression or schizophrenia this young did anyone with a child with this notice anything at this young of a age? I am concerned about this baby.

Linda, I have never heard of a baby as young as 4 months showing symptoms of schiz! The earliest I have heard of a child’s showing symptoms is about 6 years old, maybe 4 years old, at the earliest. Sue
