Major EVENT For Me! Warning: PPL /w OCD, Don't Look!

Question:

I’m trying, I still have my good days and my bad days.  My girls are getting away with murder.  The oldest doesn’t like to clean (She’s a glamour girl.). The twins don’t like to clean (They are wrestling fans and like to swim or do anything but clean.).  My 8 yr old just goes to sleep when I tell her to clean up (She needs a nap, so she says.).  Then there’s me, I hate cleaning, also.  I need a maid, but she couldn’t touch my books! Stay sweet Jen Mel

Response:

I don’t know exactly what happened there, but sorry! Jen

LOL! I thought I had it bad with two men a 4 year old and a constipated cat in the house. PLUS, we added another cat who might as well be called the "little black demon from hell!" <G She LOVES to torment our older cat…usually at 3:00 a.m. <sounds of catfights/play And, last night of course, the older cat spits up a hairball at 3:30 a.m on my daughter’s chair in her bedroom…waking her in the process and necessitating cleaning the cushion in the wee hours of the morning. <sigh And I WONDER why I’m tired!!! <duh! No, my 4 year old is still in the stage where she wants to help with EVERYTHING Which, can actually be annoying and counterproductive to the task at ahnd. BUT, you don’t want to discourage the behavior either. So, we plod along and cookies take a bit longer to bake and spills happen and the bed isn’t made with "hospital corners", but life is good and all are relatively happy and well most days. <G Stay sweet Jen

Never really been called "sweet". Thanks. It made me smile! Best Wishes, Jen

LOL too.  Try washing the car with the help of two 3 year old boys.  We had a great time, but I had to take it the car wash the next day to get all of the soapy little handprints off. CW

Oh my, do you have twins???? My husband is a twin. Judging by some of his mother’s stories I can see why any sane person would panic! <G Kids are great though. They make you focus on them and stop focusing so much on what’s wrong with you. Especially because they love you no matter what’s wrong with you. <smile Regards, Jen

Picked up all my medical books (I still have 4 by the bed {lab dx book, nursing dx book, pharmacology book, and medical disease book}).

What only 4???? Sheesh. On a "good" day I usually average between 10 and 12. ;) I gave up being "Martha Stewart" about a year ago when I started focusing on dealing with the PD and my internal response to it. Now, the house gets cleaned once a week. On the weekend and EVERYONE helps…even the 4 year old! Since I’m home full time I do the dishes each day and the other daily stuff (scooping the cat litter, picking up and straightening, doing the bills, etc.) but I refuse to do it all alone. Ciaran makes her bed and dresses herself each morning. Somedays she even gets her own breakfast. I can appreciate your sense of accomplishment! Congrats! Looks like you’re getting a lot of the facets of your life "in order". ;) Best Wishes, Jen

If I ignore the bills, I’ll be sleeping in the dark or out on the street without a car.  My greatest aspiration is to be a bag lady.  I can go around and stink, fart, not bathe, and be generally rude; and on top of all that I won’t have any bills!  Oh yeah, I can have a panic attack in public, and people will say "don’t mind her she’s just crazy"!  And, I wouldn’t give a "tinkle" about what they said. Mel

I like it.  The whole idea may need some refining.  But I CAN see it’s good points. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I cleaned my room today!  I picked all my clothes off the floor.  Picked up all my newspapers.  Picked up all my medical books (I still have 4 by the bed {lab dx book, nursing dx book, pharmacology book, and medical disease book}). It still looks cluttered; but it beats what it looked like before!  I might decide to open my bills tonight…maybe not.  I think that I should vacuum, instead. Mel Good for you. I bet you feel better.  But about those bills….. I did that today, and wish I had put it off another day.  I hadn’t paid my phone bill since Feb. 1st  LOL  It seems like just yesterday, I was paying a phone bill. YMMV  But in my opinion – Just ignore the bills.  If you don’t bother them, they won’t bother you.  ;-) — Kiesha Van Dyke To e-mail, remove ** from address. </PRE</HTML
