My OCD Easter

Question:

When I was going to the Episcopal church, some people would dip the wafer into the wine then eat the wafer like that. One time when I had a bad cold I did that. They don’t like people doing it, though. Even though they wipe the chalice after each person sips from it germs can still get in there. :( -Kathryn "John R. Ida- hee hee you are funny! I am right with you on having an OCD Easter! I freak over "bad eggs" too. The smell of them nauseates me..rotten eggs! yuck! I don’t eat eggs all together. They served soft boiled eggs in Europe and I had a real bad experience from them. Anyway…I hope they did not serve hard boiled eggs at  Bill’s parents place! Happy Easter to you too!! The only thing that makes me feel better is that my non-OCD busband won’t drink from the chalise eithre. He thinks we should get individual cups like the Methodists use. I think I am teaching him my bad habits. He never worried about this stuff before we got married. Ida INaFog5716 <inafog5…@aol.com> wrote in message

Aw, Ida, sorry about your Easter. I’m also Catholic and on Good Friday, everyone went up the the altar to kiss the cross.  The priest wiped it with a cloth after each person kissed it. Well, OK, here’s me…..no way was I going to go up there with all those germs…..and what was the cloth going to do?  Just wipe the germs around even more!  The church was pretty crowded, and guess who was the only one that didn’t go & kiss the cross?  I was glared at by the people because I was the only one left sitting while the rest of them paraded to the altar.  Oh well……… And wow, Ida, the deviled egg thing would of scared me to death, too.  That’s a big no-no with me too. Hope the rest of your day goes well! I’ve started out the day wonderfully (snort) Miss Kitty woke me up early -retching in the hall way so I cleaned up the mess. Then Bill comes home from night work and goes into the bathroom and locks the door. A non-no in this house since Kitty’s litter box is in there. Kitty pisses all over the bed. Not her fault but we were both yelling at each other early this morning while stripping the sheets. We did eventually get to go to church and forgave each other but it wasn’t a pleasant way to start out this wonderful day. Of course, I OCD’ed in church. (Catholics serve their wine out of a community chalise and I won’t drink from it.) Then they were handing out hard boiled Easter eggs at the end of the service but I was afraid to take one because I didn’t know how long they had left them out and I didn’t want to get sick off of it. Now we are hone and I hope the rest of the day goes a little better. We are going over to Bill’s parents for dinner and at least I can trust his mom’s cooking. Happy Easter everyone! Ida
