I think you have every right to be annoyed with this bunch. You were there first and they come in and disrupt the entire neighborhood with their ATV’s and dirt bikes. I have a neighbor who occasionally rides through our alley with his dirt bike and it’s horrible sounding. My advice: booby trap the lot. Maybe you can dig some holes over there. Do you now anyone with a really mean dog you can chain to the fence? Perhaps Louis is the one to offer the best advice for this sort of thing.

oh man, sometimes i don’t even know which way is up in an argument. i can feel one way and justify it but then if someone says something else, i’ll just collapse my half of the disagreement. i think this is ocd but i also have a low self esteem:( this is a recent phenominon but the only thing i can tell you that specifically doesn’t apply is believe in yourself. you have the right to yourself and your feelings, no one else does. on a personal level, noise pollution angers me too. i play guitar and when i’m not hating what i write, i try to record it so lawn mowers whatever, makes it impossible. you can’t take these people personally, they are just people trying to live as you and i are. don’t waist your time hating them. i don’t know. hope i helped;) liz (oh yeah i’m new here, sorta) — eggpl…@earthlink.net AIM: sewthesky

Hi Err, In my opinion – I’d be pissed off as well. I ride a dirt bike once in a while and I know they are loud. I ride on a dirt track zoned and licensed (ie the track is away from people and residential areas) for dirt bikes cuz I know how loud they are. I sure wouldn’t want one buzzing outside my home. I think you are entitled to be peeved! Are there any local noise bylaws that can be enforced? Also, you say your neighbours have been irate about this as well which lends me to think that you are not way off base with your anger. Maybe all the neighbours and yourself could come up with a solution since it seems to be affecting the neighbourhood. Although I think you are within a ‘normal’ range with your being ticked off – OCD could be causing you to dwell a bit much. …?
