PREGNANCY CRAMPS

Question:

It is hard to say what "normal" cramping for pregnancy is, but if it is any help at all, I had strong, menstrual-like cramping during the first trimester of both my pregnancies.  It eased up during the second trimester, I imagine because the placenta was in full force by then giving the endo a rest. Best wishes, Mary

Response:

I was wondering if anyone out there has had endo and then somewhat major cramping at times.  I have written in before .  I still have some discharge that is mostly clear with light brown hue.  I get this every day.  My doctor has recommended taking it very easy, no exercise or sex(this is so hard because it’s the one thing that relieves my pressure and cramping)  You see ,  I ‘m so used to pain that I don’t know what major cramping is during pregnancy to be worried about.  Like today I was out and about all over town, in heavy traffic, climbed too many stairs, got irritated in a grocery line to the point of wanting to explode, and sat in an ocd therapy group.  By the time the night was ending I felt the familiar dropping pressure coming from my uterus which is very familiar right as I start a period.  When I got home my husband was very upset that I did so much and got myself so stressed out.  He said "Don’t you want to listen to what the doc said?"  And suddenly I was mortified.  I keep checking to make sure what fluid is coming out of me is mostly clear and it is.  Also the cramping has subsided.  But when is it time to worry?  Endo is a tricky thing becuase the doc said cramps are part of it, he said the nutrients for the baby are coming from the ovaries until you develop a placenta, hence activating the endo.  What is normal cramping for a pregnancy with endo and what is not?     Thanks so much for any feedback! Eileen
