To give an analogy, if your computer gets stuck in an endless loop due to a program bug, you will indeed measure some differences in the power consumption in certain integrated circuits. However, this doesn’t mean that my computer hardware is defect! So I will not try to fix this by replacing the integrated circuits or by tweaking the power supply but by correcting the real problem: the buggy program, which is software… In my humble opinion, this is similar to OCD where you can use medication as a symptomatic approach or solve the real problem using CBT for instance.
