sliding…
Question:
I probably shouldn’t be posting in my present state of mind, but what the hey. I’ll (or someone else) probably end up writing an apology for stupidity within 24 hours. I kept reading about shizophrenia and getting more and more depressed, until Suki made me stop. It makes sense that we might be borderline, and that’s why we’re dissociative, because we have to deal with symptoms of it daily. It’s like OCD, bipolar disorder, and MPD rolled into one. On friday I was asking my teacher a question, then I was on the other side of the room. This only happens when we’re REALLY upset. It’s more like a slide than a fall, now. Will we keep fragmenting and end up like that fantasy artist who thought we was drawing reality? Hindmost has made a little list of dangerous analogies. His analogy for reading is diving into a pool. Sometimes we come up covered with seaweed and stuff. I thought I had a reason for writing this, but I don’t now. Just so scared… -Maryona
Response:
Hi. I don’t know what to say, really, but I do want to give a hello. It’s always now. You can’t lose that. (Am I being weird? It’s just that this means a lot to me…) And you are you, whatever that is. DSM axes and categories notwithstanding. And things always change. May be a bit trite, but that’s the best I can do without writing a dissertation. Hope you’re feeling a little more rooted. -sl

Dear Maryona, BPD is not diagnosed for teens, so yous cant be BPD. And yous dont show symptoms here in your writing that let us think of schizophrenia. If yous read about schizophrenia, yous might have read about Kurt Schneider and his first rang symptoms, like hearing voices. These symptoms are more specific for DID than for schizophrenia! Typical for schizophrenia are mutism, formal errors in thinking, like neologism, paraphrases, "jumping" in your way of thinking and things like this. We cant see these symptoms in your posts. But yous could search for help without your p*rents. For example here in Germany are organizations, where yous could ask for help. They are organizations which try to help survivors like Wildwasser or others. In nearly each city there is one. They know more about DID than the most ps*ch*atrists, so they can see better if yous are DID or not. Take care Nina
