tired all the time
Question:
Less than a year ago one of my closest friends was told she had OCD. It helped her a lot to find out what was wrong with her. She is know getting treatment and have together with other people suffering from ocd organised a support group. She is feeling much more better but she seems to have a side effect from her medication -she is tired all the time. This of course has influence on her social life and work. The medication she is on is called Seroxat (could be Paroxetin in English). Has anyone had problems like this? Is there anyway she can get more energy and keep taking her medication? More energy and continue taking the medication? Well, not really, no. Perhaps reducing the dosage of the SSRI Paroxetin would help. What dose is she taking? Are there any other side-effects? The other option would be to take/try another SSRI like Sertraline. It has a slightly different side-effects profile and some people find it easier to handle. Gareth.

I take Paxil and I am tired ALL THE TIME. I wake up tired. I hate it because I never feel like doing anything, which annoys my poor, (normal) husband and I feel worthless because I know I am not working up to my full potential. But being tired is better than some of the other side effects I’ve had from medications.
