hey blue, no i did not drive to north carolina. my sister lives in baton rouge, about an hours drive from new orleans. she went on vacation so my mom flew in to take care of teh babies.   hugs shell

Response:

Shell, You said in response to Butterflies: doesnt it make such a difference? its funny. i can tell you one thing for sure, eds are not about appearance. at least not in my case! i usually am so tired that i live with my hair put up wet in a bun , never ever any makeup. well, on tuesday i drove to see my family. and i wanted to look nice so i took the time to blow dry my hair, put on some jewelry and some nice clothes. indeed, i felt more confident! now if only i could muster up the energy to do this more often!

You drove to see your family?????  Isn’t that a super long drive?  How long did you stay with them? How did things go? Oh, and about the hair thing, me too.  :0) it wont be back to square one. you are making progres,s you dont lose

that. This is so true. It’s NEVER back to square one. You always get to keep the progress you have made, even if you can’t see it close up. blue Before you buy.

Hey shell — Is it sunny in New Orleans this week?  My dad and stepmom are there for one of those riverboat cruises, but they get to see the city for a couple of days too.  I was wondering what the weather was like… Betsy

Response:

hi sweet butterflies, I just love rainy, grey days.  :)

oh boy. not here LOL! have to have that sun :) Yesterday I wore a new outfit.  I put on make-up, too, so when I ran my errands I felt more confident.  I knew I looked good.

yes dear there is :) or instance, today I plan to go to the library and get another book to start reading.  I am also going to work on my skirt.

that sounds really good. what book did you get?  i am starting a new one right now.  trying to get into little things too like that that make me happy.  like crafts and stuff I have also been running my little errands all by myself more often. For now, the panic attacks seem to have subsided and I’ve been handling most outings just fine.  Of course, next thing I know I’ll have a major breakdown in the grocery store and it’ll be back to square one

it wont be back to square one.  you are making progres,s you dont lose that.   glad to hear you better, shell

Response:

Butterflies–Glad to see you getting out, getting your c.c. bill pd., having fewer panic attacks.  Glad you feel good about yourself.  Wish it didn’t take clothes & make-up to make you feel that way about yourself.  Would really like to see you in at least an all day program to get you eating like a normal person.  Just care about you.  You could also work on your fears of growing up.  My parents also didn’t help me by being there so much/paying for things, but you can stand up for yourself and gain independence, one step at a time!!  I did!  Feels good(well, not all the bills!).  Have a good, healthy weekend. Lynette

Great!  What about taking the money you would have spend on interest to the credit card company, and saving to buy yourself something special? speck Today my check is in the mail to the credit card company.  I will have paid off everything except a movie I bought over the Internet.  That would be paid for by now too except that it was a pre-order and the company doesn’t bill my card until they ship the movie.  I got a notice in my e-mail that it was shipped Saturday but I’m still waiting for the movie to make its grand entrance.  It feels good to know I don’t have those credit card food purchases hanging around anymore.  I’m going to try to keep it that way, too. Better go. Love, Butterflies

Hi, guys, I just love rainy, grey days.  :) Yesterday I wore a new outfit.  I put on make-up, too, so when I ran my errands I felt more confident.  I knew I looked good.  The guy who checked me out at BlockBuster video was good-looking and I think he liked me, too.  ;) I’m working very hard to get my eating onto a manageable level.  It still won’t be healthy but I think it’s going to be better for me than wishing I were dead because I’m so torn up about how I have been eating. Tell me there’s more to life than this!  Actually, I’m finding some more bit by bit, it’s just very slow.  For instance, today I plan to go to the library and get another book to start reading.  I am also going to work on my skirt.  After wasting about 30 minutes the other night misreading the directions, my mom and I finally got the fabric turned the right way and the pattern pieces pinned on.  I think the next step is to start cutting the material. I have also been running my little errands all by myself more often. For now, the panic attacks seem to have subsided and I’ve been handling most outings just fine.  Of course, next thing I know I’ll have a major breakdown in the grocery store and it’ll be back to square one…but I’ll just deal with that if/when it comes up! Today my check is in the mail to the credit card company.
