EXERCISE, dangit!
Question:
I just got back from my primary phsycian. He told me that in recent days, there has been a pretty significant rise in people with panic attacks. He says that this is because people are doing all these stress-invoking things, but aren’t releasing their stress. As for me, I sit on my butt in front of a computer all day. It probably builds up tension that doesn’t go away. I’ve been exercising for the past month and a half and I’m doing much better. I really think exercise is the answer. ALIEN

Dear Alien, I am very happy that exercise has helped you alot
) It is always a good feeling when we can find something that can really help us. What kind of exercise are you doing? I like walking through the woods myself, but don`t look at it as exercise

Hi Alien, I admit that when I was doing aerobic exercise (stairmaster for 45 min…3 times a week as well as swimming) I was feeling better…sleeping sounder, more energy, more focused, more relaxed. I intend on getting back to a good routine. Exercise is definitely an answer….along with CBT, meditation, increasing a spiritual attitude, and many other facets of being a wholly integrated person. Good luck to you! John – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I just got back from my primary phsycian. I have a non-electric $100 Treadmill that works great. I either do that, or if it is a nice day outside, I’ll go walking. I would never do a gym….I just don’t see the point in driving somewhere and working out. I may as well just walk/run there and walk/run back…hehe – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I’ve been exercising for the past month and a half and I’m doing much better. Thanks for the motivational subject line Alien! I do feel lots better after exercising. Some people including myself will feel increased anxiety with starting exercise programs. It can be overcome though. I really think Love and exercise and eating right and etc.. is the answer:-) Charla – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -I just got back from my primary phsycian.
