exercising and loving it

Question:

That’s great!  I;ve been thinking of getting back into exercising big time also.  I have been more or less sedentary for the past few years and I think the lack of a physical release causes problems for the body in relation to stress, etc.

Response:

Hi all, I think me and my husband are turning into exercise freaks. He works a swing shift. We get up at 7:00am and he goes jogging for an hour. When he gets back we both do a 45 min Yoga Video Tape. Then we get breakfast. Next we drive down to the river and do a 45 min fast walking trek along the riverbank. I then take a half mg Ativan tab and start feeling really great. I have eliminated a lot of the high stress activities in my life. I only see a few clients all week. I work at my own pace on my medical billing side line business. We look forward to the weekends where we do a lot of serious hiking. I enjoy working on all aspects of my home and business without the stress of too much business and high competition which I was into before. Since I have found a good combination of meds, I never get anymore panic attacks, just occassional twinges of anxiety creeping up and you all know the symptoms. At about 8:00pm I take another half mg Ativan. My husband comes home at 11:00pm and we relax and watch some T.V. and talk and laugh. At about 12:30 I take 4mg Stelazine and go to bed. I no longer have a high stress goal of getting off all medications, I just accept that I need to be on something to control my high anxiety and I don’t beat myself up anymore for it. If my new relaxed lifestyle can make it possible to take fewer meds thats great, but it not thats OK too. Thanks for letting me ramble, Melodee
