Imipramine vs. Desipramine
Question:
After 4 years with recurrent panic attacks I experienced a complete recovery through the use of Imipramine (Tofranil) at a dosage of 50 mg per day. A drawback was that I found imip effected my resting pulse and blood-pressure. I am wondering about any similar experiences of others, and any knowledge as to how desipramine might differ in side effects. Thanks.

Hi, I can only say that I have been taking Immipramine for 4 years and my highes dose has been 200mg per day and I am currently taking 125 per day.Have you taken a blood test to see how much is in your system.It may answer some of your questions.I was also told that there isn’t a big difference between drugs.
