** TILT, I’d like to hear from her. She’s the one who can relate her feelings the best, and get involved in an exchange. She may have fears that she may not be comfortable talking about with those close to her, but she may free up in a forum such as this. I think you should ask her two things. One, would she feel comfortable confinding her thoughts here, where she would be safe, I might ad. Two, would she prefer to keep it "private," as in not having to share this group with her mother. Don’t take that wrong, as I think that your support, and even your "jumping in" is great!  It shows your concern as a caring parent. BUT, maybe she would prefer that her thoughts remain "secret."  It could go either way, but if she asks for privacy, please be willing to give it to her.  We know that you’re there for her, and I’m sure she knows that too. There is also the subject of seeing the "best" doctor who specializes in panic disorder that you can find. I’m sure that you’re seeking that out for her. YOU’RE NOT ALONE……EJK — The food here is terrible, and the portions are so small.

Hi Tilt There’s all ages here, but I don’t think that’s at all important. I’ve met literally hundreds of PD-folk in real life over the years and I’m convinced that age is absolutely immaterial when working through this together. My own best PD-friend is 24 years my senior yet our age gap has never made a scrap of difference in the 14 years that I’ve known the guy. Tell your daughter to feel free to share her fears here. Best wishes — ROB…  "high mileage but reliable!"
