I had Mad Dog 20/20 "wine" in college, that’s probably close.  I used to drink Mickey’s and Olde English 800 occasionally.  That’s bottom of the barrel malt liquor.  I hate most malt liquor, and even the expensive Chinese and Thai ones taste like crap to me. Give me a nice Guinness or Woodbridge Merlot and I am happy.  I tolerate Pilsners though for the cost savings.  I am a wine snob, I usually hate anything that’s not in a nice 750 ml or 1500 ml with a cork.  I can drink the Gallo of Sonoma mid-priced but the cheap E&J Gallo is terrible. m.

Well I’m 6′0" and weigh around 180 lbs (from 165 to 190 usually).  Do you look for that build generally or you like a bit skinnier or heavier build?  Just curious. Muscle is a good thing, you could find a nice hunk. m.

I don’t meet them often. In the past, in chat rooms, web forums, at the beach, through friends, at work, at parties, at hotels, places like that.  Some of those are not healthy places to meet women though.  I’m a very quiet guy so it often helps to have some prior contact with them somehow.  Cold calling is not my forte. My intellect is trying to free itself of the want of female companionship, but i’m fighting biology and my heart.  I realize I have a rather severe neurosis or mild psychosis.  Either way, a long-term relationship would be difficult unless it went slow. m.

There’s an old saying "meet them in a bar, lose them in bar."  To a certain extent i believe that’s true of chat rooms on AOL as well.  Who knows.  I’m not saying nice women aren’t in bars.  Hell I’ve been in bar many times and i think i have a good moral fibre.  Then again i was just getting drunk, not there to meet women. The best places to meet people are probably a public place like laundrymat or bookstore.  Somewhere healthy like that.  This is extrodinarily difficult given most women are there to just browse the books.  Then again I have all the social grace of a bull in a china shop.  Sz just can’t do that. m.

I think we all do at some point.  All except for maybe heterosexual women.  Well maybe they secretly want the company of a woman too. >I used to have > some ‘pen pals’ back in the early 1990s.

I have dated only a bit, and lived with one woman.  Had two total LTR’s.   To be honest a close female friend or female pen pal seems to be preferable to casual or even prolonged dating.  I don’t know why this is.  Perhaps good things are good in moderate doses. >Jayleen and I would corresponds > back and forth.  She was a sweet girl!

If you are on good terms with her i.e. parted ways on good terms, then drop her a line.  I have occasionally called old friends or acquantances and it can really bring back good memories.  Better yet drop an email, it’s very socially forgiving. >I believe the pen and the paper!

I’m firmly in the digital camp but I like retro.  I write letters with a ballpoint and stationery.  Perhaps I’ll get a quill with ink cartridge one day.  But I’m a tad messy, so a nice gel will do. > I am a analog relic in a digital world!  Digital bits are so insecure and > impersonal. > <chesucat fades to black>

Poverty is lonely. Ugliness is lonely. Stupidity is lonely. Releasing myself from desire I find that my purpose is to be alone. Some mountains can’t be moved. Some realities can’t be changed. Some stars can not be reached. Surrender, to the simple earth. It is from there that you came, It is from there that you end. No more lofty goals set to the standards of others.
